Jessica talks with Rebecca about her upbringing in the apocalyptic sect The Worldwide Church of God. She talks about growing up a devout and faithful child, waiting for the end to come, and what happened when it didn’t. Her journey takes her around the world as she goes to a church-run college in Texas, follows her pastor-husband to Canada, and starts a school in Sri Lanka. She eventually walks away from her religious community and her marriage to find fulfillment and purpose on her own terms.
